Horizontal Mailboxes (USPS Approved or Private Use)

• Styles: Front load (requires one compartment to be a master door for USPS lock); rear load (has open back, although some manufacturers supply rear cover). Both styles designed for recessed mounting

• Door & Box Sizes: Compartments are a minimum of 15.5" deep. Door sizes are: A (5" by 6"), B (5" by 12"), C (10" by 6"), D (10" by 12)". Larger door sizes available

• Quality & Construction: Materials and metal gauge varies with manufacture. Doors range from heavy duty extruded aluminum to light weight non-extruded material. Cabinets range from heavy duty double-wall construction aluminum to single-walled light-duty sheet metal.  from light duty single wall sheet metal to heavy duty double wall extruded aluminum

• Colors: Aluminum, gold, bronze

Directories

• Applications: required by USPS regulations for apartment houses with 15 or more mailbox compartments (listings must be alphabetical)

• Styles: Surface mounted or in-line directories. Surface mount is aluminum-framed, glass door, front-opening unit, with concealed fastening screws. Projects 1.625" from wall.

• Sizes: smallest is 11" x 16.5" with maximum listing of 25 names. Note that plastic letters are not required; a computer-printed list is acceptable, allowing more names on a directory

Key Keepers

• Applications: Designed to house perimeter key of property for postal carrier

• Types: Surface mount or recessed loose key type prepared for USPS lock. Also available with key retractor and 24" chain

• Finish: Aluminum or gold

Remote Gate Openers

• Applications: For any property needing remote access to gate locks

• Manufacturer: Multi-Code, Linear, Allister (Allstar), Liftmaster, Stanley, Genie. Ask about other brands

Mailbox Locks

• Manufacturers: XL, Hudson, ESP, Lori and others

• Special Note: It is critically important to use the correct mailbox lock, because each one is made to fit and secure the compartment properly. Most lock problems result from the use of multi-purpose or imported locks which do not fit!
